What is the difference between the
CELPIP - General and CELPIP - General LS?

There are two types of CELPIP tests to choose from. Make sure to confirm which version of the test you are required to take

CELPIP - General Test

$280 + Taxes (where applicable)

Evaluates test taker’s English speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills and is used for permanent residence applications and professional designations.
Single 3 Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 3 hours to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
IRCC Approved for PR Status
The CELPIP General Test is the IRCC approved test for Permanent Residence applications
Computer Delivered
Includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check
Quick Online Results
Available online in just 3-4 business days after the test date

CELPIP - General LS Test

$195 + Taxes (where applicable)

Evaluates test taker’s English speaking and listening skills, and is used for citizenship applications and professional designation.
Single 1 Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 1 hour to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
IRCC Approved for Citizenship Status
The CELPIP General LS Test is the IRCC approved test for Canadian citizenship applications
Computer Delivered
Includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check

About Association for New Canadians

 

The Association for New Canadians (ANC) is a non-profit, community-based organization delivering settlement and integration services to immigrants and refugees in Newfoundland and Labrador. For 40 years, the Association has delivered programs and services that support all aspects of immigrant integration, ranging from settlement information and orientation to language learning, skills development and employment.

The ANC has been acting as testing centre for CELPIP for 4 years and CAEL for 1 year. Testing occurs 1 – 2 times per month depending on demand.
