A prerequisite of CELPIP Instructor Training: Level 2 is that you first complete CELPIP Instructor Training: Level 1.

This self-directed 10-hour online program has been designed for experienced teachers with a CLB 10 level of English and a firm grasp of the structure and content of the CELPIP Test. Each of the four skills assessed in the CELPIP Test is explored in detail. Quizzes and interactive exercises throughout the program help teachers gauge their progress. A certificate of completion will be provided to those who complete all of the material.
Topics include:
- Understanding how CELPIP is different from other language tests
- Developing practical and productive test-preparation and test-taking strategies
- Understanding how CELPIP is rated by analyzing sample Writing and Speaking responses
- Making the best use of instructional products and programs developed for the CELPIP Test
- Building a strong vocabulary and using English expressions naturally
- Managing mixed-level classes
- Using classroom activities that help test takers overcome test anxiety

Please see below for upcoming training dates. Instructor Training – Level 2 begins on the third Wednesday of every month. The course material will be available in your account for three months.

While you can work at your own pace, we will conduct a completion check 3 weeks after your start date. A certificate of completion will be issued to instructors who have worked through all of the module content and achieved 100% on each quiz.
Some instructors may take longer than three weeks to complete all of the course material, which is fine. However, course material completion checks are conducted only on the dates displayed above. If, for example, you receive your course material on Feb. 4, and you complete the modules five weeks later (that is, Mar. 10) you must wait for the next scheduled completion deadline (that is, Mar. 24) to receive your certificate.
