What is the difference between the
CELPIP - General and CELPIP - General LS?

There are two types of CELPIP tests to choose from. Make sure to confirm which version of the test you are required to take

CELPIP - General Test

$280 + Taxes

Evaluates test taker’s English speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills and is used for permanent residence applications and professional designations.
Single 3 Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 3 hours to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
IRCC Approved for PR Status
The CELPIP General Test is the IRCC approved test for Permanent Residence applications
Computer Delivered
Includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check
Quick Online Results
Available online in just 4 to 5 calendar days after the test date

CELPIP - General LS Test

$195 + Taxes

Evaluates test taker’s English speaking and listening skills, and is used for citizenship applications and professional designation.
Single 1 Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 1 hour to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
IRCC Approved for Citizenship Status
The CELPIP General LS Test is the IRCC approved test for Canadian citizenship applications
Computer Delivered
Includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check
Quick Online Results
Available online in just 4 to 5 calendar days after the test date

About Lethbridge College

Lethbridge College is a post-secondary institution serving southern Alberta. The Testing Services department administers a wide variety of exams for our students and the community, and we have done CELPIP testing on our main campus since 2014. We typically offer the CELPIP-General test on one Saturday each month and the CELPIP General-LS test on one Saturday every other month.

Parking Directions 

Building Access

Please only use the North entrance to the Technologies building. Room TE 1229 is located on the first floor.

Car Parking

Please only park in Lot E. To find Lot E, turn left on 30 Ave S just before the bus loop at the college’s main entrance. Then, take the second right to enter Lot E. Parking costs $2 for 4 hours, or $4 for the whole day, and it can be paid for with coins or with a mobile device by using the Honk Mobile app.
